This is a semi-edumacated forum thread in German, with just a few gems to pick out of 13 pages of crud -- about where the Ostrogoths really ended up. I violently deplore the theory that remains of them fetched up in Bavaria; the repulsive local natives here in the Miserable Village can't possibly be related to the Ostrogoths...
