OOM: Awkward

In the end, it was his own bathroom Teja went to for confrontation with his -- her! -- new female functions.

For the clothes, as much as the body itself. Downstairs, in one of those stalls with writing in, Teja would not have been certain that she would have been able to close it all again, properly, and emerge decent. Here, if all went wrong, she could still put on men's clothes and make do with those, even though they would be much too big.

First, the jacket -- that fell just off, and went over the chair by the fireplace. The boots, thigh-high and solid leather, were a bit more difficult, but were discarded by the bathroom door.

In the bathroom itself, there was a thing that had not been there before -- a long, shining mirror of the modern kind, made of glass, and tall enough so a man could see his whole shape in it. Or a woman, hers.
