OOC post: Midsummer Depression

He stops wearing armour all the time, he lets people come closer (and really close, in case of Asher), he has conversations that make him suspect, 'If Totila could hear me now, he'd think somebody had put henbane in his ale'. He is putting his talents to a constructive and helpful use, as conversation with Hedwig has convinced him that the best purpose he can find in afterlife is to advise living people, drawing on the experience of his hard and unusual life. He even uses his grief in a constructive way, as while talking to Ianto -- and his grief is a gift, as old Hildebrand says in the very first scene of his canon: 'You, Teja, wo whom was given not only the gift of song, but that of grief...'
