OOC post: The Book of Teja

[[Note: Teja's canon is organised in 'books' named for the Ostrogoth kings ruling during that part of the story. The 'Book of Teja' are the last sixteen chapters of the novel. It's pointless to translate it all; much of it is dreadful bathos, high-handed purple-prosed drivel, or the conclusion of story lines we don't need to touch upon in this context. Leaving out all those, we are left with a few chunks of heavy-handed gothy gloom, lots of blood, and a heroic death that is not, actually, in vain. Despite the high rethorics he spouts, Teja has got a strategy that does pay off, in the end. His canon's author does not consider it necessary to say so - he's only interested in the Wagnerian 'Heldentod' ('hero's death') leitmotif. This puts me in the position of not only having to translate pieces, but to extrapolate from them. There is still canon here - translated.
